is it okay to stick pen near the camera in ipad 10th gen?

hi! i have an ipad 10th gen with a case that has a slot on its right side, which is directly next to the camera.

If I attach my pencil to it, wont it damage the camera and its magnet inside?

When will Apple get an Ipad with a built in Pencil holder? Hi, I'm just simply wondering whether Apple has been talking about making a built in apple pencil holder, the same way that Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and S9 has? My ipad gets scratched using the magnetic system, and my boyfriend keeps loosing his (older ipad generation). We're both thinking of switching next time we buy a new tablet. But is there a proper built in pencil holder in the works of future ideas? Otherwise, we seriously want that to be taken up as a possibility haha. Just curious.
