Are there scanners that work well with iPads?

Are there scanners that work well with iPads? I want to scan files to get rid of paper. I wondered if there were experienced users who do this? What scanners worked well for this?

For hardware scanner vendors, Brother offers an app (if AirPrint and its scanning isn’t sufficient) and various printers and scanners:

There are many multifunction Printer/Scanner's available. Check for those that support AirPrint (for direct printing from Apple devices) - and for the manufacturer-supplied App that provides scanning capabilities.


Popular multifunction printer manufacturers are HP, Epson and Brother. By example, for HP Printers, you will need the HP Smart App for scanning:
