Health App Does Not Update Walking + Running Distance on my iPhone

Since the recent software update, my walking + running distance does not update. I can find my distance covered by clicking on the history for the week, month etc. but this is inconvenient

Incredibly frustrating!!

iPhone 14, iOS 18

Please unpair the devices, force restart both devices and then pair them again. This will restore proper syncing and updating.

Please follow the step by step instructions in the Apple Support articles I linked below.

You’re not using an Apple Watch? OK. In my experience Apple Watch updates much quicker, but that’s neither here nor there.

Apple algorithms control the timing of these updates. An older method of potentially forcing an update is to force quit the app. Otherwise I think you’ll need to wait for the next iOS update. The manual updates will need to suffice until such time.
