We watch maybe 6 - 10 different multi-episode shows on various steaming apps. We remember the shows but not necessarily what steaming app they are on and more important when they are dropped.
It would be nice if there was an app that could compile a list of what we watch, on what streaming app, and when they will be released right on the Apple TV. Ideally, a check box on the app itself to add it to that list would be great.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
For apps that can connect to the Apple TV app (on Apple TV box, iPhone, or iPad), having a show added to Continue Watching (formerly Up Next) would take care of that. New episodes would appear in that row when released.
For other apps and streaming services, there is currently no such automatic system. You may have to track (check) that manually. Some popular streaming services may have opted out of previously mentioned connectability for their own reasons (e.g. Netflix).
There are (iPhone) apps that may help you keeping track [2] of what you like to watch, when it comes out, alert you if you want, etc. Not strictly related to Apple TV. E.g.:

Thanks for the info. Continue watching doesn't really do it for me. I've looked at all the apps you presented and most over overdone for what I was hoping for. Wish I could write an app.
