iphone is not detecting hisense tv using vidaa
I have a 14 Pro & a new Hisense Tv that has an associated app, VIDAA, that makes the most of the tv. But it refuses to detect it. I’ve gone down every single obvious troubleshooting route including obviously deleting and reinstalling the app, switching everything involved off and on again, and updating to the latest iOS. I’ve also reset the tv to factory default. When I sign into my VIDAA account online, there it is. In the VIDAA app, nothing. I’ve switched IP tracking off. Private relay. VPN on and off. All of it. On and off and on and off and on and off.
I must be missing something. I have a mesh system and nothing is wrong with it. I switched the network for the tv and phone to the main router, still nothing, so I doubt it’s the mesh at fault.
Funnily enough, my iPhone also recently stopped recognising my old tv, which was a knackered 14yo Sony Bravia - I obviously thought it was just another thing going wrong with the tv, but now it’s happening with this one also. Seems… phone-related.
Anyone got any useful ideas?
