I have an older iMac desktop running Monterey 12.7.6. but need to update it to 13 or higher in order to use Turbo Tax 2024 software. How do I know if I can update my iMac since the system tells me it's already up to date. I have a "Late 2025" iMac.

Sorry, but Monterey 12.7.6 is the last version of macOS that iMac can run. If you need to run a newer version of macOS, you'll need a newer Mac.

if you only need it to use turbo tax, you might want to try their online tax filing software. but I have no direct experience with turbo tax, as I use their competitor's online service.
