I can not hear anything out of my air pod maxes. They are connected to my phone but no sound comes out of them, the different hearing settings (transparency and noise cancellation) also are not working.

Have you tried to reset them to see if the issues persist?
If your AirPods Max won't charge or restarting them doesn't resolve your issue, reset them to factory settings: Press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown for 15 seconds, until the LED flashes amber, then white.
After you reset your AirPods Max, connect them to your iOS or iPadOS device, or connect them to your Mac or other device.
