ipad screen scrolling slow and jumpy

New iPad, running ios 18

The screen is getting slow and jumpy, when scrolling on certain apps.

And touching buttons, do not register -have to tough six times.

This is most prevalent on Email, Ebooks and Twitter, not so much on Safari.

Can anything be done with this?

I cannot imagine this is a connectivity issue, as the whole comment (posting) can be loaded (on Twitter), but the page refuses to scroll up and down that one single comment.

Ok.

Fixed by shutting down, and rebooting.

Should have thought about that.

But it was coincident with the recent software update.
