Text not going through to one contact

My text messages aren’t going through to one contact. We both have iPhones. It started when I got my iphone16 pro. I have to email or call her and she sends a text then we can text for a bit. If we wait too long I get “blocked” again. She’s checked and has not accidentally blocked me. Not sure what to do.

This issue may be caused by iMessage syncing or a carrier issue. Try these steps:

  1. Turn iMessage Off and On: Go to Settings > Messages, toggle iMessage off, restart your phone, and toggle it back on.
  2. Delete and Re-Add the Contact: Remove the contact, re-add their number, and try texting again.
  3. Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If it still happens, ask her to reset iMessage on her device too. If nothing works, contact Apple Support for help.
