Hello,
I am trying to get the most of my new Samsung g9 galaxy 49" monitor. I have a MacBook Pro m1 and when I connect the monitor as my extended monitor the content stays in the middle of the monitor and from side to side.
What should I do about the settings or the connectivity?
I use a HDMI to HDMI cable and a HDML to USB-C converter.

Your 13-in MacBook Pro supports only ONE external display interface.
HDMI really 'runs out of gas' at the 4K at 30 Hz mark, and can't really use adapters to get any higher. (you generally could use two cables, but your Mac does not support that.)
To get higher than 4K at 30 Hz will require you to step away from HDMI entirely, and use a high-end DisplayPort interface instead. Your DisplayPort adapter needs to be capable of 5K at 60 Hz or higher, and cable length limited to ONE meter or less.

if you have [√] Mirror displays active, you Mac computes a compromise resolution, that both built-in and External displays appear to be able to attain. Then it sets BOTH internal and external to that resolution.
closing the cover does not cancel [√] Mirror displays, it needs to be changed manually.
I extend the displays, so I believe that they should work independently, with their resolutions.
A unplugged and replug the HDMI cable and now it work properly, but with 30Hz refresh rate! :-/
What else should I do to get the most of the monitor/MacBook?

The problem here is that the monitor acts like it is 27" and not 49", with right and left are blank.
