MY KEYBOARD'S TOP ROW ISN'T WORKING

The top row of my keyboard is adding extra characters. Yes i checked my settings. Yes everthing is right.


all letters: q1w2e3r4t5y6u7i8o9p

all numbers: q1w2e3r4t5y6u7i8o90

caps letters: Q!W@E#R$T%Y^U&I*O(P

caps numbers: Q!W@E#R$T%Y^U&I*O()

If Keys Seem Intermingled:


A. Try Safe Mode:

Go Here: Start Up your Mac in Safe Mode - Apple Support. In Safe Mode, login times are set aside at login, and system checks are fixed.


B. Reset the SMC and the NVRAM:

Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for Screen) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAM (Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only)


C. Single-Out this User:

For troubleshooting purposes, create a new Administrator user. Then try logging into this user, seeing if you get the same error. If it does not occur while logged into it, then it is an issue pertaining to only THIS user. If it occurs while logged into it, then it is a system-wide error. Go here: Add a User or Group on Mac - Apple Support
