How can I upgrade MacBook Air to iOS 13 to download Microsoft 365?

Hi Friends - in the research I've done, it looks like the highest OS my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) can get is 12. Is there any way I can update to iOS 13 at all? I need iOS 13 to download MicroSoft 365 from my University.

If I can't upgrade to iOS 13, any suggestions on what to do to get Microsoft 365? I need it for class and work.

Thank you!

macOS 12 (Monterey) is the end of the line for a MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015).

Note that macOS and iOS are different operating systems, with different numbering systems. macOS is the Mac operating system. iOS is an operating system for mobile Apple devices (especially iPhones).

Microsoft has a policy of only supporting the most three versions of macOS, which are currently Ventura, Sonoma, and Sequoia. While existing Microsoft 365 customers can continue to use old, unsupported versions of Microsoft 365, Microsoft says on one of their support pages that new installations will only work if you have at least Ventura.

If you absolutely need Microsoft 365, it may be time to purchase a new computer.

If you are open to alternatives, there is LibreOffice . I believe that current versions of it will run on Catalina and up. Monterey is two versions of macOS newer than Catalina.

iOS is for mobile devices (iPhones). macOS is what you are looking to troubleshooting here. No. This will not install. See here: macOS Ventura is Compatible with these Computers - Apple Support

Using MS Office 365 on a 2015 Mac:

Being this is a 2015 Mac, you'd have to use a Virtual Machine for this. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VMVirtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and ParallelsLearn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMWare Support. VMWare is now an annual subscription.
