Solution for “Camera Covered” message on iPad (iPhone) Face ID usage
Like a lot of other people, my iPad Pro 2021 was suffering the “camera covered” message when Face ID was used. Last week I got in touch with Apple Support, as everything I read on internet, did not solve my problem. I was asked to reset the settings on my iPad, and so far this seems to have resolved the issue. So if you experience this issue, try this too: go to the General settings of your iPad, then at the bottom you will see a Reset option (I am using a Dutch iPad, so not sure what the exact phrasing in English is), from there navigate till the option Reset all settings. This will keep everything on your iPad (apps and content), but all settings will be gone. It’s been a week now, but ever since I did this, Face ID on my iPad works like a charm again!
