Can't turn off Find My to get repairs done as iPhone can't connect to the internet.

My son's iPhone is unresponsive to touch. I've sent it to be repaired, they said I need to turn off Find My. I have logged into iCloud and done this but the messages says it will be deleted from Find My after in a month on 8 Jan 2025. I have also tried to Erase the phone. It says Erase Pending. "This iPhone will be erased when it connects to the internet". So does this mean I have to wait for a month to get it repaired? The Repair centre will send the device back un repaired if it can't be removed. This can't be right!

Hello! You don’t have to wait for a month to get the iPhone repaired. The “Erase Pending” message and the 30-day delay for removal from Find My iPhone are separate issues.

To Remove the Device Immediately from iCloud:

Log in to iCloud.com using your Apple ID.

Go to Find My iPhone > All Devices > Select your son’s iPhone.

Click Remove from Account (if this option is visible).

This action should remove the iPhone from Find My without requiring the device to connect to the internet.
