Good morning,
Thank you for the thorough reply.
I have been working with iOS for 12+ years. My devices (4) all work fine, and all were alerting as set… until my personal phone just stopped. No changes had been made to settings. Each app had their settings, both within the app, and in settings. I had made NO adjustments, or added any new apps in several months. All notifications were alerting fine. Until they weren’t. I thought the sound had stopped. That’s why I bought a different phone.
When I set the new phone up from back-up, all notifications worked fine - for 1 day. Then they stopped.
Reset to new, and set up for me, but didn’t restore apps - ONLY settings. Still only some alerts. Reset to new, and set up new, without ANY restoration from back-ups. Only logged in. Still - minimal alerts! Mind you - only messages would be alerting, because there still are no apps installed. Or set up. Not even the iOS apps.
Meanwhile - still using the old phone for daily use, with minimal alerts (some apps, some texts) with Apple watch giving a few more text alerts than the phone, and the iPad being the “sound fill-in.” Typically - sound is completely off on the iPad. That’s been the way for several years. The phone was always the primary alert device (duh, I know) the watch used to see what’s up when the phone is not on my person, and the iPad not alerting only silent banners.
ALL the issues with the phone began after the iOS 18.1.1. update. The 18.2 didn’t help.
