MacBook Pro is running very slow

MacBookPro is running slow but I have the following;

2Gintel core i7

memory- 4gb 1333 mhz DDR3

Graphics- Intel HD graphics 3000 384 MB

Anyone have any suggestions? For instance the mouse pad gets stuck and the battery and I've replaced it and still runs dry in about 10 minutes off the power cord.

Lagging Mac:

RAM is the Likely Culprit:

You have one 4GBs of RAM(Random Access Memory). Note that RAM is made for multitasking (running many applications at once). So, with little RAM (4GBs), items are likely to lag. Upgrading the RAM is not an option in newer Mac models, as the RAM is soldered into the LogicBoard, making it all to operate as one device. As for installing apps, some apps require 8GBs of RAM to be installed.

So, what to do...

A. View the Activity Monitor:

To see what is using most of the RAM view it using the Activity Monitor, Close whatever it is. Perhaps, it is a scan that is always going on in the background.  Go Here:  View memory usage in Activity Monitor on Mac.

B. Rid of the Security Software:

Moreover: Rid your Mac of that A/V and Security Software. It's unneeded on a Mac, as it just gets in the way. This is a pure example of it getting in the way. I see no icon on that message window referring to an app. You are getting that message most likely because of the software installed that is used for managing your Mac.

C. Use an Uninstaller for the Software:

Removing Security Software from your Applications folder will not rid of it all, as much of it will remain in your system cache. So, contact the developer and request the uninstaller.
