"Only 1 of my usb-c ports on my MacBook work: [...]It's been like this for a while however when i first got my MacBook in 2020 the first port was perfectly fine to use and then suddenly it won't fit the charger anymore, is it just a matter of debris blocking the usb-c port?"

Troubleshooting Non-Functioning Ports:
A. Verify the Port is Fully Charged:
First off, see if the port is functioning properly.
- Hold Down: the Option key
- Click: the Apple menu
- Choose: System Information or System Report
- Select: Power from the list on the left
- Look For: "No", next to "Charging"
- Look for: "100" next to "State of Charge (%):"
- Look For: "Yes", next to "Charging"
- Look for: less than "100" next to "State of Charge (%):"
B. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:
(Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only): Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. Ports), system configurations (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Try performing each thrice. It may take sometime, being certain you have the time to perform these resets.
C. Single-Out this User:
For troubleshooting purposes, create an Administrator User, and see if you get this error. If not, then it is an issue with your current user. If so, then it is an issue with the macOS.
D. Boot in Safe Mode:
Try logging in while in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, Login Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once logged in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then restart your Mac, seeing if you can log in go here: How to Use Safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support
