iMessage and FaceTime issues on iPad, MacBook Air, and iPhone

This is a problem Apple Support has so far been unable to fix. For the pat month I have been unable to receive iMessages on my iPad or MacBook Air. Nor can I log into FaceTime. I get the unhelpful message to “contact Apple Support” which I have done multiple times with no resolution. Apple engineering is supposed to be working on it but I have had no response for 3 weeks. Also now sometimes my iMessages on my phone appear as SMS messages, even when the recipient or originator is an iPhone user.

Any ideas????

If you are experiencing difficulties with Messaging and/or FaceTime, start here:

If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

If you continue to experience difficulties, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - as have purportedly already attempted. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Be aware that you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:
