Why does iPhone record my phone conversations, and how do I stop it?

Call recording was recently added, but you have to initiate that manually once you are in a call.

If you feel an unauthorized person/app is remotely using, controlling or monitoring your device, then that is possible only if you have done one or more of the following Don'ts...

1. Don't hand over an iPhone to kids or to a stranger without Enabling Guided Access
2. Don't share Apple IDs
3. Don't Jailbreak
4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device
5. Don't give in to Phishing
6. Don't plug in your device in Airports and Public places through third-party cables and trust the device. Beware of Juice Jacking. (Especially in India)
7. Don't leave your iPhone unlocked and unattended in public places like offices, schools, malls, etc.

If one of the above is true then quickly change the Apple ID Password and Return iPhone settings to their defaults.

my iPhone 15 is also doing this. It has done it three times now when I’m talking to someone it will randomly say this call is being recorded. This has happened when I’m not even holding the phone. Why in the world would it do that? Does anyone know?

I never initiated the recording of my iPhone calls. But after I installed the new update, there is a little icon in the top left corner of my screen and it shows this phone call is being recorded. How do I stop this

My mom just recently got the new IPhone 15 and the update. And her phone keeps recording all of her messages she has them on her notes now! I tried shutting down the raise to listen on her settings so I’m hoping that will help? It’s kind of unsettling thinking that Apple is listening?

It does. Just happened to me. Records automatically, didn’t select the option manually.

Please help me either this problem . My phone is doing the same thing recording my conversations .. please help me stop this .
