If any desktop/laptop users are having this problem. I saw in the developer threads that the problem disappeared if you turned off all VPN / Proxy / Adguard type stuff before logging in to ChatGPT. Can give a thumbs up for that. I'm in the UK. Should be able to link to ChatGPT but had this error.

Turned off all that stuff, signed in fine and have turned it back on again, seemingly without a problem.

I finally fixed the issue of fully resetting my MacBook pro M3 to factory settings. COMPLETELY WIPED THE THING!!! It must have been a setting somewhere in the computer that I toggled on by my mistake or something and could not find it, possibly...?

Then when you reset everything and set it up, I chose to start from scratch. I'm thinking it might have been the ESET program I had but still not sure. But anyway, before you download anything, sign in on MacBook with your apple account and then go through the process of setting up Chat GPT in the settings and BAM, it worked for me. Then I continued to download the rest of my security programs and what not. If you have everything backed up in the iCloud, then it's pretty straight forward. Hope this helps.

Same problem here, except I was able to sign in on 2 out of 3 of my devices. After numerous repeated attempts, I was able to sign in on iPhone 16 Pro Max and M2 MacBook Pro. However, I'm still unable to sign in on my M3 MacBook Air. Deactivating Apple Intelligence in ChatGPT apps does not look like a good option - I'm afraid to lose the connectivity I do have on the 2 other devices.

I reached out to OpenAI and their response was that the problem must be with Apple OS
