Avoiding Scam eMails:

Apple's not going to just send you an eMail about needing to set up or fix your account.

Go Here: Avoid Phishing eMails, Fake 'Virus' Alerts, Phony Support Calls, and Other Scams - Apple Support

If you have clicked anything, consider....

  • Modifying your login credentials (Using Both a New eMail and a New Password for each and all sites)
  • Associating a different method of payment to your account
  • Enabling Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option

If nothing was clicked, you should be fine

Have a Screenshot of this? Forward a screenshot of this as an attachment to Apple using this eMail address: reportphishing@apple.com. In the comments pane, inform Apple of what the attachment is all about: an eMail containing an attachment of a phishing scam. You can also report this to the FTC. Use my User Tip: Using the Photos App to Report Scams: - User Tips

There are often scams coming and going, where an eMail may appear to be from Apple, yet is fake:

Eg: See: Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

eg: says:

"If you received a suspicious email, please forward it to reportphishing@apple.com."

Seems there are new iCloud Terms and Conditions that could require to be accepted ...

eg: a notification message may have popped up, if you haven't seen and done that already:

(You could try going to iCloud online, to check or accept if needed.)
