When using Scan N Go at Sam’s Club, iPhone is blurring the barcodes. Old iPhone had no problem reading the codes. Moving back will bring the code in focus unless the barcode is small. Seems iPhone is limited to how close you get.

Sam’s app needs to be updated. The app is not using the correct lens. Apple switch cameras/lenses used for macro.

The Sam’s app updated and the problem is resolved. Still not perfect but is now useable. Will focus and read the bar code unless you hold your phone too close. Move phone back a little and then phone will focus.
You can also take the picture of the QR code and use it.. Firmly Press the QR code from the Photos app.

Wait for the caemra to focus on the QR code. You need sufficient light in the room.
QR codes give you quick access to websites without having to enter or remember a web address. You can use the Camera app to scan a QR code.

The iPhone 16 using the Sam’s app will not automatically focus on the bar code on their products. Older iPhones like the model 11 have no problem. If you move back the bar code will come into focus providing the bar code is large enough to focus on. Think this a iPhone multiple lens problem?
