iPhone won't turn on after battery died

Hello, Visturn here.

My iPhone SE (2016) hit 0% battery last night. Tried to turn it on in the morning because I didn't know it died. It showed the 0% battery symbol, so I plugged it in. The original charger and charging cable were lost, so I'm using 3rd party items. It showed that it's indeed charging, but I came back to it after around 5-6 hours. Turns out, it didn't turn on. Let alone turn on, even the battery symbol isn't showing. My iPad still charges with the same set of charging equipment, so I'm not sure what to do. Yes, I checked if my port is dirty, it wasn't. Tried force restarting the phone, didn't work. Same with trying to put it on recovery mode. Nothing. It has nothing on the display, not even blackness. I don't have the time to go to repair shops and wait hours trying to fix it. This iPhone, I brought brand new in 2017. Since then, it has had 3 battery replacements and 1 screen replacement. Thanks for reading.

If you are still with the original battery which came in your phone, it likely needed to be replaced long ago. Batteries don't last forever and Apple recommends replacing the battery in iPhone when Battery Health dips to 80%, which your battery had to have done a few years ago, if you've had it since 2016.

You can pay Apple to replace the battery in your phone, which will cost $69, but to be honest, it wouldn't be a great investment in such an old iPhone at this point.

Whether you want to pay Apple to replace the battery or use the money towards a more modern, new or newer iPhone is up to you. To schedule a battery replacement at your Apple Store Genius Bar, use this link --> iPhone Battery Replacement - Apple Support
