I called apple customer care number they asked me to share my phone's serial number is it safe to share

Are you sure you called Apple Support? Please use the numbers in the Apple Support article I linked to below. Once you’ve reached official Apple Support it’s safe to share your device’s serial number.

When I saw in Google about the customer care number it popped up a number to me I saw the number in the website too it was same but the link that you have shared doesn't have the number it is showing a different number. I am from India region and I dialed the number 0008000401966.
