iOS 18 broke Files on iPad Pro 3rd Gen

I unintentionally updated my 11” iPad Pro 3rd Gen to iOS 18, and now Files is unusable. I have yet to explore to see what else is broken.

I use files regularly, and rely on the ability to mark up PDFs with my pencil, and keep them organized.

Since the update, I have not been able to successfully use my pencil with any PDF in files, and the app just glitches.

This issue needs to be fixed.

At the very least, I should be able to revert back to iOS 17. Is this possible?

(I never wanted this update in the first place, but somehow my settings changed to automatic updates. That’s a complaint for another day.)

So, is there an update that will fix this glitch, and how can I revert the OS to the previous working version?

Thank you,

JB

PS I see that 18.2 is available. Does this update address the issue?
