MacBook air activation lock can't get hold of previous owner

Bought MacBook Air on Facebook and when I got it is stuck on activation lock with previous owner apple id and password can't get hold of they their Facebook is no longer available is there away I can bypass this

Nope. Sorry. It’s officially a boat anchor.

It’s entirely possible the machine you purchased is stolen, especially if the seller you purchased it from has now disappeared.


Take it to the police and give them all the information you have on the seller.

The previous owner had to do this before selling:

What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support

If you can not contact the previous owner to perform the actions in the linked to article, you can recycle the computer as it is of no value to you.
