I just received my new Macbook Air. In order to migrate my data from a windows PC, it tells me to use the Microsoft Assistant app for macOS Sequoia 15.1. There does not seem to be such an app. What should I use?

Duh. I can read. So is Sequoia 15.1 later than Sonoma 14.4? One would assume so but you know what they say about assumptions.
I spoke to Apple Support who told me they were not aware of the problem!!
