Apple Payment with linked cash app card recipient didn’t accept it so it expired but cash app doesn’t show the money back

I sent somebody money from Apple Pay about seven days ago and it expired and was sent with my cash app card but Apple said it has been returned I’m now obligated to resend the money owed but I have not got credited on cash app nor Apple Pay for the money- cash app has no details is there a time lag on this ?
