Has my phone been compromised?

pegasus is starting to make the rounds in social media again via credible news sources. There is an app to scan for it called iverify which only costs .99.

Im wondering if this is a native Apple app and if anybody has experience using it? I don’t think I’m compromised but for $1 it seems pretty reasonable to run a scan

No it is not. Instead that app is likely a scam designed to get money out of you. Why would even think that Pegasus is installed on your iPhone? Are you a political dissident, a controversial journalist, a person of interest to a government? You’ve read too many conspiracy theories about this issue.
