Deleting specific messages from iCloud backup on iPhone
I backed up all my messages to iCloud, and it's like 30 GB worth. Is there any way I can go and delete pointless ones or do I have to clear it all?

Messages in your backup reflect only what is on device. Deleting will remove from the backup.
if you sync with iCloud messages instead, your backup does not contain messages as those are already in iCloud.
