Why does Finder Window keep appearing small on my MacBook Pro?

I recently noticed my finder appearing very small. I'm not aware that changed any settings prior to this starting. I am able to click into the small menu and move it around but I can't resize it.

In the screenshot, you can see the small menu next to a normal sized menu which I opened for to show the scale, which i was able to open through File>New Finder Menu

While I'm still able to open a new finder menu and use my computer normally, I found this strange and unsettling whenever the small finder randomly pops up. If anyone has experience with this please share your insights.

If a simple reboot of your Mac doesn’t fix things, see if the problem still happens in safe mode.

Safe mode will often correct weird software behavior by forcing the OS to do disk repair, clear caches and other housekeeping and temporarily disables third-party mods. When you're in safe boot, the machine won’t be at its best performance, especially with graphics, but that's expected.

Does the same thing happen while in Safe mode?

You can exit safe mode by restarting your Mac normally, then reevaluate the problem. Sometimes just starting the Mac in safe mode will fix a problem. Use the computer for a bit after you restart normally and see if the problem returns.
