i am unable to enter my apple password to get my phone out of lost mode i have tired in find my iphone but it wont let me put in my password like it is stuck half way thru the process...

Do you have the phone in your possession? If yes.....
Try a Forced Restart on the phone. Follow the instructions very carefully, as this is a bit tricky. (Hint.....ignore the "slider" when it appears and keep holding the Side button in until the Apple logo appears. This might take another 30 seconds.)

If no luck at first, try at least 3-4 times.
