Yeah that's just a common scam. Ignore it. "Mac OS Security Center" is as bogus as a three dollar bill.

Phony "tech support" / "ransomware" popups and web pages - Apple Community has a few entertaining illustrations and a more thorough explanation.

Close the window and forget about it. If it comes back, clear Google Chrome's history and website data and / or reset it to defaults: Reset Chrome settings to default - Google Chrome Help

Thank YOU John ... I am a novice and this is my first time using this Apple Support Community.

I am taking a new MACmini and through an apple accessory "USB-C to digital AV Multiport Adapter" it connects an HDMI adaptor into a June 2011 45" Toshiba Television Receiver. An electric power cord from the Toshiba and a power cord from the MACmini plug into a electrical power cord it turns on by the on-off power button.

I am unsuccessful in uploading a 1.1MB IMG_2943.HEIC image

Ok thanks. So far so good, but are you able to display an image on that Toshiba TV? Refer to Connect a display to Mac mini - Apple Support. It should be straightforward.

I'm not sure if the veritashr.com website that appears is related to it or not. If the Mini is displaying to the TV correctly, then let's approach that as a separate problem.

I don't believe this site can accept a HEIC image. If you can find a way to convert it to JPG or PNG that will work. The Appendix in Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question - Apple Community describes how to capture screenshots, which will also work. They won't be HEIC.

Thank you John. It took a little time to send you the screenshot as a jpeg

1) The screen shot shows my MacMini image shown on a June 2011 Toshiba 43" TV Receiver

2) No this community site does not accept HEIC images

3) I am coming to believe that veritashr.com and MacOS Security Center (shown in the image are red herrings)

4) Am continuing to read the references that you referred me to (of which are excellent)

Thank you for your excellent assistance. Bill
