Verifying legitimacy of Apple invoice with duplicate charges

On windows laptop got an invoice having duplicate charges for an app don’t remember ordering a could not get any satisfaction until got a phone number from my credit card used. Actually talked to two agents who were very helpful.

How to know if invoice (seemingly from apple) is legitimate?

Where at Apple do you send attempted fraud message? I just received a msg from Apple Billing & Security Team claiming that a large transaction was attempted at one of their stores along with their noticing unusual account activity. They gave me a number to call to review and cancel the transaction. They included an Apple Billing Support phone number and a URL for manage billing online. I haven't made such a transaction and wanted to report them. I have not called the number posted nor have I tried the URL. But I could not find on the Apple site where I could report this. And now should I assume I've been hacked and need to change my passwords? I would appreciate any advice as I'm not well versed in these matters. Thank you. zna2212 iMac 2021 M1

To verify a bill, log into the Apple Billing and Subscriptions site, and check for billing data there.
