What is 'callservicesd' on my iMac?

what is callservicesd? and do I did it? I have a: iMac 27" 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 40 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, 15.1.1 (24B91)

It is a process and part of Mac OS used by Contacts, Messages, FaceTime and even some third party apps such as Zoom. The exact location of the process is here:

Macintosh HD/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUtilities.framework/callservicesd

man callservicesd confirms that it is part of macOS, but isn't particularly informative.

     callservicesd is the system daemon responsible for maintaining call
     state.

     There are no configuration options for callservicesd, and users should
