iPhone X is not connecting to cellular network (No Service)

Hello,

Recently I've noticed that my phone has been getting weak to no signal although I am situated at home where I usually get 4 bars of signal. It sometimes comes back on for a minute at 4 bars but moments later shows "no service". I've also noticed that it has been burning battery much quicker than usual lately. I have tried the following :

  1. Restarting the phone
  2. Resetting network settings
  3. Erasing the phone and starting again
  4. Reinserting the sim card
  5. Trying another friend's sim card

All to no avail. My friend tried my sim but had no problem receiving signal. Do I need to get it serviced - maybe something relating with the antenna? It doesn't seem worth as it is just an iPhone X

Excellent job troubleshooting!

Troubleshooting "No SOS":

A. Contact your Carrier:

You Cellular Carrier provides you with the service of conferring your SIM card. So, ask them why this may be occurring.

B. Go Here: If you can't Make or Receive Calls on your iPhone - Apple Support

C. Install a Cellular Update:

It might be prompting you for a cellular update to install. So, go here for that. Update your carrier settings manually on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

D. Update the iOS Using a Computer:

Hello,

Thanks for replying,

I forgot to mention, I have already troubleshooted those.

  1. Turning on and off airplane mode still ends up with "no service"
  2. There is no pop-up in General-> About -> Carrier for updating carrier services (I am assuming it is already up to date) It says 54.0.1 under Carrier
  3. PC running Apple Devices shows that the phone is up to date : 16.7.10 (it is an iPhone X)
  4. I have contacted the carrier a week ago (I'm using Freedom) and they've already conferred with the technical team but they were unable to find a cause.
