Water detected in USB-C port on dry iPad

My ipad has never come into contact with water, yet for over 2 days now it says there is water detected in the usb type c port, what should I do?

If neither your iPad or its charging cable has ever come into contact with water (including condensation that commonly occurs with a significant change of temperature/humidity), you would be well advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:
