MacBook Pro M1 will not connect to my Ipad M2 as a second display

I try to connect directly with a usbc cable and neither device sees one another, I cannot see the ipad in the display on my macbook pro settings. I have tried the Bluetooth connecting from the ipad m2 to the macbook m1 and it says "Pairing Unsuccessful MacBookPro is not supported". Any suggestions?

Connecting 8th gen iPad (iOS 17.2) to MacBook Pro (macOS 13.6.3) - display not found I have a newer MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.6.3 and I'm trying to use my iPad (8th gen running iOS 17.2) as a second monitor. The iPad will show in the Mac's Finder, but is not a choice when going to System Settings > Displays. (Perplexedly, the neighbors' devices show, but not the iPad that is two inches away.) After reading that Apple took away the ability to connect wirelessly, I have foregone attempting any of this over Bluetooth. I've tried using each of the USB ports on the Mac, I've tried resetting all manner of location/privacy settings, I've tried rebooting several times, I've ensured both the Mac and iPad recognize and trust one another...I just can't manage to use the iPad as a second monitor. Does anyone have a novel idea?

iPad 10th Generation unable to sidecar with Macbook Air m2 Both are on the same apple ID Both have Wi-Fi (on the same network) and Bluetooth enabled Sidecar is enabled on Macbook Air m2 Everything is connected (even tried with official Apple cable) I cannot get the Mac to recognize the iPad as a display from the dropdown menu. The display that is available is my partners laptop, not my iPad. I have checked and believe the two are compatible -- everything has been updated as well. I am new to Apple so anything else I can try to get it so I can use the iPad as a second monitor? Thank you for your help in advance.
