Non-responsive iPhone touch screen

The touch screen on my iPhone 13 Pro became unresponsive. Initially, the problem was that the phone would not charge. After leaving it hooked to the charging cable overnight, it did charge but the touch screen was unresponsive. I could not power it off or get to settings. I found an old response to someone who was having the same problem with an iPhone 8 and tried the recommendation given. It worked! This is what I did:

1) Quickly press and release the volume up button

2) Quickly press and release the volume down button

3) Press and hold the button on the right side on the phone

This sequence powered off my phone. I held the right side button again and when the phone powered on, the touchscreen was working again.

I hope this helps anyone who may be having this problem.

Thanks for the posting.

Yes, you’re correct; the forced-restart can resolve some cases of an iPhone that is not responding to touch.
