I have purchased two different eSims in Mexico for my iPhone 16. Neither works. I have tried everything suggested by support for those eSims to no avail. Why doesn't an eSim work with my phone?

Was the phone originally purchased in Mexico, or another country?
What is the Model Number of the phone?
Settings > General > About > Model Number and post back with that number.
Now tap on Model Number and another number like Axxxx will appear. Post back with that number as well.

Tap About
Scroll down and look for Carrier Lock. What is the message there?
Is your phone currently locked to a carrier?
Are you using a VPN?
Have you contacted the carrier who issued you the eSIM? They may need to do some configuring to provision it for your phone.
Well, the eSIM "should" work. Things have always worked fine when I have taken my U.S. purchased phone to Mexico.
Carrier is AT&T Mexico.
Why it doesn't work, I do not know. Worst case, you could insert a SIM card in your version of the iPhone.
No, my phone is neither locked nor am I using a VPN.
It says "No SIM restrictions."
