Unwanted Calendar Icons in iPadOS 18.1.1 Update
ISSUE: With the installation of the iPadOS 18.1.1 update — my iPad calendar has been changed. There are yellow symbols to the left of each entry on the calendar now. I finally found out from a live Apple customer service agent that they are calendar icons. However, the agent had NO CLUE as to why they are now there or what purpose they serve.
NOTE: Neither the 18.2 or 18.2.1 updates fixed this issue. WHY NOT???
After reading the entire tech talk-convoluted description of this 18.1.1 update, this is the ONLY reference to the iPad calendar: “Calendar lets you create, view, edit and complete reminders alongside with your events.” What does that mean, and what does it have to do with the yellow symbols?
These CALENDAR ICONS ON MY CALENDAR ARE NOT WANTED in that they are crowding each day’s calendar box and taking up already very limited space. I had to reduce the font size on my iPad in order to fix this problem on my calendar.
AGAIN — an UPDATE is definitely needed so that users can REMOVE these insidious icons.
