2020 13 inch MacBook Pro, external monitor

Using 2020 13 inch MacBook Pro, IOS Sequoia 15.2, connected to J5 Create 10G Dual 4k dock, power connected, clamshell, settings set to sleep after 5 min. external monitor wakes up fine pressing any key, however when away for extended time ie. 1/2 hour or longer, wakes up pressing any key ask for password when I start to use it screen goes dark, only solution Ive found is to disconnect dock and re connect. What am I missing, Frustrating

Is this an M-series Mac? If so, then try changing the "Allow accessories to connect" to "automatically when unlocked" located in the Privacy & Security System Settings:
