How can I turn off "Offload Unused Apps" on my iPhone 14 Pro Max?

I found a work around. You need to go to >Settings and pull down to get the search bar at the top. Type in unused and the App Store will appear, tap it to open, scroll all the way down and toggle the switch for Offload Unused Apps.

Almost right.

it was actually:

SETTINGS>APPS>APP STORE->

Scroll to bottom of page to turn off.

I have same issue. There is no way to fix this Issue I could find. I clicked every button on all possible areas, no solution.

Before updating (18.2.1) I had this turned OFF.

everyone was saying the old method that doesn’t work anymore, and I was so frustrated because my IPad Mini 6 kept deleting my essential apps, but your method worked!

Scroll down and tap on Apps

Scroll and tap on Appstore

Then scroll down to the end and toggle off the Offload Unused Apps

i recommend to update to ios 18.4

For anyone who’s unable to do this on iOS 17, it’s in Settings > App Installation.

Go to settings - apps - App Installation - switch Offload unused app to off

Found it!

Apps-> App installation(on the top)-> scroll down and you will find the option to turn it off. Hope this helps!!
