Kindle Paperwhite audio issue with AirPods 4

I can’t get sound when trying to listen to an audio book on my kindle paperwhite. i can hear the book through my old airpods but not my new airpod4. They connect and i hear them connecting but cant hear audio!

I have tried forgetting and reconnecting airpod4 but still no audio. I know the book plays as I can hear if I connect my old AirPods.
