3 month free Apple TV not working

I just purchased a brand new MacBook Air, and it comes with 3 months free Apple TV. I have never subscribed to Apple TV before. I got the email and click the button that said "accept 3 months free". it opens up a blank page, then opens up my Apple TV tab, but everything empty. nothing going on in there.

has anyone encountered this? and or can some help me fix the issue through experience?

I was really looking forward to it, and got a bit bummed out wen it didn't work.

Note that for Macs, users have to additionally sign in to the TV app (menu Account), for the option to accept the offer to appear.
