MacBook Pro 2020 display issue

I have a problem with my MacBook Pro M1 very similar to this one linked below -

MacBook Pro m1 2020 display - Apple Community

To me it looks like a limited number of colours are showing, iCloud photos look terrible. I have tried the recalibration and even completed re-installed OS Sequoia 15.2 but the picture is still poor. All default settings used after reinstall. There is no flickering, no noise or other issues, it just looks washed out. The MacBook has had limited use and has no damage.

I had been away for a couple of months and when I returned I immediately updated MacOS so I am not sure if 15.2 update caused the problem.

Yes, I did try what was being suggested. I have now also rolled back to OSX 14.7.2 to see if was the upgrade that caused the issue. It was not, the problem is still the same.

I did notice also that during the preparation for calibration, as soon as I move the slider away from Normal towards Maximum, the slider and switches become invisible by the second notch (picture below). It is impossible to use the laptop at Max as suggested by the calibration wizard and you cannot see the Oval displayed at all.

you need to feel your away long here— blindly use the mouse to get that slider back to normal

If you can not— switch to dark mode...

I will 2 pictures. 6325 is sent directly from my iPhone and 6385 is a photo of my MacBook screen. Hopefully you will see that the sky is graduated in fewer colours than the original photo. (6325) which looks like an infinite gradient. The green of the grass is also poor. The photos look perfect on my iPad. Thanks for offering help.

Sorry, the filenames do not show. (6325 and 6385) The top picture is how it looks on the MacBook. The bottom is the original. On my iPad of this post I can clearly see the difference in the clouds in the valley and the gradient of the sky. I have looked at my contrast setting and it is Normal. I did a complete re-install of IOS15.2 and left everything at default.
