How do I view only family events in month view on iPhone Calendar?

My husband and I have a synced family category for our calendars. I also subscribe to his work calendar (which is through outlook). Because his events occur earlier in the day, when I look at my calendar on my phone where I can see the whole month, only two events can appear so it is always his events. I only see our family events when I open the actual day. I am wondering if anyone can help me to be able to keep his events on my calendar but not on the month view. If I can open the day and see his events, that is good enough. But I don’t need to see them at a glance. I want to see our family events. Any help?
