Dog walking option for watch

Like lots of people, I use the Apple Watch to track fitness - but with no ‘dog option’ for an activity, my walking scores are wrong. I walk the dog a couple times a day and she’s getting older and slower, so it takes about 25 minutes per mile these days. On my own, I average about 16. So days I walk more with her, my score is lower than days I walk more without her. Apple Fitness flags trends - like I’m walking slower this year vs last year - but I think it’s 100% due to her slowing down. And really, the average is pretty useless.

Like others have written, seems it would be easy to address this by adding a dog walk option. Why doesn’t Apple listen to feedback from its customers? Has anyone found a workaround that actually provides useful data for the human? I know there are some 3rd party ones for dogs, but that wouldn’t correct the statistics in Apple Fitness.
