How To Fix Apple Series 3 Watch From Counting Steps When It Shouldn't
I have an older Apple Watch, the series 3 and I notice that it counts steps when it shouldn't like while I'm typing this it's counting steps. When I need it to count steps like when I walk with the baby stroller it doesn't count all of the steps. It eventually gets to a point when it will count some steps, but not all of them. Example: I went on an 80 minute walk pushing the stroller and it only registered a little over 6200 steps. I know this isn't accurate because I can walk for 45 minutes with the dog and easily go over 7000. It doesn't count all of the stand hours as well so sometimes I can close the blue ring and other times it just doesn't happen and I just focus on closing the red and green ring. It's frustrating because I'm trying to keep track of my steps during the day, but if it counting things that aren't steps and pretty much any type of hand/wrist movement then it throws everything off. I've already calibrated this watch a million times I can't find a solution that works so I am asking the community to see if anyone has found a work around because what was happening prior to me finally paying closer attention to it when I suspected it was off before, I would end up over-exerting myself to get my steps counted to the recommended daily amount because I was doubting myself especially knowing what I usually clock in for steps when I walk the route that I've taken numerous times. Are the newer versions of the watch better? I'm wondering if I just need to update my watch instead of constantly fiddling around with this one. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
