iPhone 16 Pro Max(s) won’t charge!

I got my first iPhone 16 pro max a few months ago, woke up one day after a night of charging, and it was on 12 percent. It was complete unresponsive to mag charging and cable charging (certified cable, 20W block). I went to the Apple Store and they couldnt identify the issue so they just replaced the phone entirely, I am still experiencing the same issue with the replacement. I even bought a new cable and block despite the old one working perfectly fine for my iPad. Please help, I dont think the Genius Bar knows what the problem is.

iphones 16 PM come with a braided cable. Use the included cable with an Apple brand charger or USB-C Apple Mac, iPad and charge. What happens?

Your top 2 apps kind of tell the story. TikTok and AliExpress use 61% of your daily battery capacity. What does the last 7 days look like? There is something unusual going on. Are you switching on low power mode? Looks like you’re charging in lower power also.

Do you have a 16 pm as well? If you do, Safari takes up 76% of your data usage in the 24hrs; is your battery doing okay? The TikTok percentage is that high because it was basically the only app I was using. Ive only had this phone for 2 days, so it’s all pretty evenly distributed (the top percentages aren’t TikTok or Aliexpress). The only yellow in the screenshot is after 9am, which is because I am trying to preserve my battery. I am pretty sure the orange is due to using a weaker charger (my friend’s wireless charger). I agree that there is a common denominator here somewhere, but after paying over 1k on a phone, I should be able to be on TikTok as much as I like and still be able to charge. Just like my previous 13 pro max. I have a suspicion that the 20 W isn’t enough to fuel a phone like the 16 pm, and that it’s actually damaging the battery. I will try the Apple 30W charger once I get this one replaced, and update you here on how it performs.

Yes, my battery is fine on my 16 PM I have 9 hours of active screen time and 5 hours of screen idle. You can see the graphs showing discharge.

I but my iPhone on to charge every night and it’s in my pocket from about 7 am until I go to bed around 9:30 to 10 pm every night. I have optimized charging turn on. My iPhone charges to around 80% and then pauses to around 4 pm. At 4 pm my iPhone slowly charges to 100%. It comes off charger around 7 am. Rinse and repeat everyday.

My iPhone was purchased day 1. It’s on about 80 cycles and battery health is 100%.

It still doesn’t charge! I used the braided cable with my iPad charger (20W). Are you thinking that I should go up to 30W in combination with the braided cable?

Yes, it is apple branded! It came with my iPad I’m pretty sure. The new block I bought is also apple branded!

I charged it overnight, when I woke up it wasn’t warm, but the battery was draining despite the charging symbol showing. I am in the USA.

This is the graph, the charging section from like 12am-2 is when i used a friend’s wireless charger. Then I went home and used my own charger at 2 something and went to sleep.
